Levvigo runs the accounting that contractors doing $10–$75 million a year struggle to staff: job costing, WIP, the month-end close, and the financial reporting owners, banks, and sureties expect. The repetitive work runs on AI-based tools we set up and monitor; a construction accountant checks everything before it reaches you. Already have a team? We work alongside them and fill the gaps.
General, specialty, and trade contractors in one of three spots: your books have outgrown the bookkeeper but a full-time controller isn't justified yet; you need a bookkeeper or controller and want us to step into that role; or you have a controller and want the construction-specific pieces (WIP, job cost, over/under billings, retainage) handled by people who do them every month.
Job costing. Cost codes set up and maintained, costs posted to jobs, labor burden applied, job-cost reports monthly. What stays with you: approving estimates and budgets.
Month-end close. Bank and credit-card reconciliations, accruals, WIP adjustment, closed by a set date each month. What stays with you: reading it and asking questions.
WIP and financial reporting. WIP schedule tied to the GL, over/under billings, balance sheet and P&L, owner package. What stays with you: reading it, and the decisions.
We work closely with the people you already have. Many contractors we work with have someone who runs payroll, someone who handles AP, and someone who helps the PMs with billings. We fill the gaps — usually job costing, the month-end close, the WIP, and the reporting — and lead the pieces that need construction accounting judgment. If you don't have a team, we become your team.
Each month you get the WIP, the job-cost analysis, and the management package by a date we agree on, and we sit down with you to go through it.
A flat monthly fee set after the needs assessment, based on the scope and the reports you want.
Usually there's no handoff to protect. Most contractors come to us behind on their accounting, and the first job is catching up: reconciliations, costs posted to the right jobs, a current WIP. Once the books are current, the monthly rhythm starts.
No. We work in the system you have.
Levvigo accountants, working in your accounting system under your user permissions, with Bryce Wisan responsible for the engagement.
Yes — closely. Most of the contractors we work with already have someone running payroll, someone handling AP, and someone helping the PMs with billings. We fill the gaps your team doesn't cover and lead the construction accounting — job costing, the month-end close, the WIP, and the reporting. If you don't have a team, we become your team.
For the full accounting service, yes — we work in your system under your user permissions. For WIP and monthly reporting only, usually not: standard report exports are enough, and where a login would make the work faster or more accurate, we'll ask for one.
No. The value is in the monthly rhythm: the second month is where you see fade, and the third is where PMs start estimating differently because they know someone will ask.
